TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE

These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") legally govern registration, attendance, and participation in The Data Science Conference® (the "Conference"). By registering for, attending, or participating in the Conference, you ("Participant," "Attendee," or "Speaker") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and expressly agree to be strictly bound by all terms, covenants, and conditions contained herein.

OWNERSHIP, AFFILIATION, AND PROHIBITION OF SPONSORSHIP
1.1 Trademark and Ownership: The Data Science Conference® is a registered trademark of NeoNorm, LLC, a limited liability company formed in 2008 within the United States. NeoNorm, LLC is the sole organizer, producer, and legal proprietor of the Conference.
1.2 Independent Status: The Conference is entirely independent and is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any institution, organization, corporation, or third-party entity other than NeoNorm, LLC.
1.3 Anti-Sponsorship Policy: The Data Science Conference® strictly adheres to a non-commercial framework and accepts zero corporate or third-party sponsorship.
2. LEGAL DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Agreement, the following definitions shall strictly apply:

"Vendor" shall mean any individual, entity, or representative acting as a supplier, developer, or promoter of commercial products and/or services.

"Recruiter" shall mean any individual, agency, or representative acting as a supplier, sourcer, or procurer of personnel or employment candidates.

"Sponsor" shall mean any Vendor or third party that provides financial or material consideration to the conference organizer in exchange for event access, promotional placement, or advertising opportunities.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS ON ATTENDANCE
3.1 Professional Criteria: Admission to the Conference is primarily for professionals in the fields of, but not limited to, data science, predictive modeling, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, or other professionals engaged in a directly related technical field.
3.2 Age Restriction: The Conference is strictly closed to minors. All participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of event commencement.
3.3 Vendor Solicitations Barred: The Conference is explicitly closed to Vendors acting in their professional capacity to market products, pitch services, solicit contacts, or secure, harvest, or source sales prospects for future commercial transactions.
3.4 Exception for Vendor-Employed Analytics Professionals: Analytics professionals who are actively employed by Vendors are permitted to attend solely in their capacity as technical practitioners. By registering, such individuals expressly covenant and agree that they shall not promote corporate services, source sales prospects, or leverage attendance to seek any competitive advantage intended to facilitate future commercial business transactions between their Vendor-employer and other Conference participants.
3.5 Recruiter Restrictions Barred: The Conference is explicitly closed to Recruiters acting in an executive search, placement, or hiring capacity. The event premises and participant directories may not be utilized to source prospects or candidates.
3.6 Exception for Recruiter-Employed Analytics Professionals: Analytics professionals actively employed by recruiting or staffing entities are permitted to attend solely as technical practitioners. Such individuals expressly covenant and agree that they shall not solicit professional contact information from other Conference participants with the intent to utilize said information for future candidate placement, corporate recruitment, or talent sourcing.
3.7 Absolute Right of Removal: NeoNorm, LLC retains the absolute right to immediately eject from the Conference premises, without refund or liability, any individual discovered engaging in recruitment activities, executing product or service sales pitches, or soliciting other participants' contact information for future commercial or recruitment prospecting.
4. ADMISSION, PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS, AND LIABILITY WAIVERS
4.1 Identity Verification: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to request a valid corporate business card and/or government-issued photo identification as a mandatory condition of admission.
4.2 Right of Refusal and Removal: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the premises, any individual who fails to comply with the operational rules, safety protocols, professional eligibility criteria, or non-solicitation covenants outlined in this Agreement.
4.3 Schedule and Agenda Alterations: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to execute any modifications it deems necessary to the Conference program schedule, including but not limited to individual presentations, selected topics, master themes, and interactive panel discussions. Attendees acknowledge that scheduled speakers may cancel and topics may shift; NeoNorm, LLC provides no warranty or guarantee that any specific speaker, presentation, or agenda topic will occur.
4.4 Logistical Changes: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to change the Conference venue location, scheduled days, and/or hours of operation. NeoNorm, LLC assumes zero liability for any consequential expenses, losses, or damages incurred by participants resulting from such logistical alterations, including but not limited to personal transportation or airline travel expenses, hotel or lodging accommodations, and lost business revenue or corporate opportunity costs.
4.5 Marketing Communication Consent: By completing registration for a NeoNorm, LLC conference, the Participant grants express consent to receive electronic mail notifications regarding future NeoNorm, LLC educational assemblies. Participants may opt out of these transmissions at any time by executing the "unsubscribe" mechanisms embedded in the footer of said communications. NeoNorm, LLC expressly covenants that it will never sell, share, rent, or lease Participant email addresses to external third parties.
4.6 Promotional Media Consent and Opt-Out: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to capture photographs, video, and audio recordings throughout the event and to utilize general, non-endorsing crowd photography and atmospheric media clips containing Participant's likeness in its future marketing materials and promotional recaps. Participants who do not wish to be captured in general crowd media must notify the on-site registration desk prior to entry to receive a designated non-media identifier.
4.7 Limitation of Liability: NeoNorm, LLC assumes zero liability for the omissions, negligence, or tortious acts of its independent suppliers, venue staff, or contractors, nor for the personal safety of any participant while traveling to or from the venue. In no event shall NeoNorm, LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or corporate opportunity. The total aggregate financial liability of NeoNorm, LLC for any claims arising under this agreement shall be strictly limited to a refund of the individual conference registration fee actually paid by the claimant.
5. SPEAKER AND PRESENTATION POLICIES
5.1 Intellectual Property: NeoNorm, LLC does not hold, manage, or assume responsibility for the copyrights of individual Speaker presentations.
5.2 Content Indemnification: NeoNorm, LLC disclaims all liability for any damages, professional losses, or claims resulting from opinions, data sets, or ideas communicated by participants, including speakers and attendees, during the course of the event. NeoNorm, LLC shall not be liable for any presentation, comment, or verbal remark that may reasonably be perceived as offensive, derogatory, or controversial.
5.3 Copyright and Non-Commercial Speaker Covenant: Speakers expressly warrant that they own or have secured all necessary legal clearances and copyright permissions for all text, data, images, and software code utilized within their presentation materials. Speakers further covenant that their presentations shall be strictly non-commercial and shall not promote any product, software, or service. The individual presenter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NeoNorm, LLC against any direct third-party intellectual property claims, legal actions, losses, or liabilities arising from a breach of this baseline warranty.
5.4 Right of Presentation Termination: NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to immediately terminate any live presentation if, in the sole discretion of the Conference Chair, the session is reasonably perceived as a commercial sales pitch, is deemed offensive or discriminatory, or for any other reason deemed disruptive to the event's professional baseline.
6. ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
NeoNorm, LLC strictly prohibits discrimination, harassment, or disparate treatment against any conference participant on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, age, physical or mental disability, biological sex, gender identity, religion, reprisal, political beliefs, marital status, familial or parental status, dysprosody (speech patterns or accents), and/or sexual orientation.
7. VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDING POLICIES
7.1 Exclusive Recording Rights: NeoNorm, LLC retains exclusive intellectual property and recording rights to capture video, broadcast audio, and take photographs throughout the Conference duration.
7.2 Prohibition of Unauthorized Media Capture: The creation of independent audio or video recordings, as well as the taking of photographs within active presentation rooms, session tracks, coffee/lunch areas, or wider networking breaks on the Conference premises, is strictly prohibited without the express, prior written authorization of NeoNorm, LLC.
8. CANCELLATION, REFUND, AND TRANSFER POLICIES
8.1 Event Cancellation: In the highly unlikely event that the Conference is canceled in its entirety by the organizers, NeoNorm, LLC shall issue a full refund of the registration fees paid. NeoNorm, LLC shall not be liable for any ancillary, travel-related, or lodging expenses incurred by the participant as a consequence of such cancellation.
8.2 Participant Cancellation Schedule: Requests for registration cancellation initiated by a participant are subject to the following strict timeline constraints:

Cancellation Thirty-One (31) Days or More Prior to Event Commencement: Eligible for a fifty percent (50%) refund of the original registration purchase price.

Cancellation Thirty (30) Days or Fewer Prior to Event Commencement: No refunds shall be issued; the purchase price is entirely non-refundable.
8.3 Ticket Substitution and Transferability: If a registered Participant is unable to attend due to corporate adjustments, scheduling conflicts, or health emergencies, the registration pass may be transferred to a qualified colleague from the same organization at any time prior to the event, at no extra charge. Written notice of the substitution must be submitted to NeoNorm, LLC at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event's official start time. All designees must fulfill the baseline professional eligibility criteria outlined in Section 3.
9. REGISTRATION TIERS, FEES, AND DISCOUNT STRUCTURES
9.1 Availability: NeoNorm, LLC typically, but not exclusively, reserves the right to offer four standard registration tiers: (1) Early Registration Discounts, (2) Group Discounts, (3) Government Discounts, and (4) Academic Discounts.
9.2 Non-Enterprise Operating Margin: The Conference is operated primarily as a professional service to the data science community rather than a high-margin corporate commercial enterprise. Accordingly, discount margins may be significantly more limited than standard industry expos.
9.3 Tier Definitions:

Early Registration Discounts: Offered to incentivize early enrollment to stabilize event logistics and venue management.

Group Discounts: Available to entities registering two (2) or more concurrent attendees.

Government Discounts: Strictly restricted to full-time federal, state, or local government agency employees.

Academic Discounts: Strictly restricted to active, full-time students and university faculty members.
9.4 Pricing Variations: Registration fees vary based on early and late booking windows. Participants must refer to the live "Register" interface for current pricing configurations.
9.5 Participant Responsibility for Tier Selection: The individual registrant retains sole responsibility for selecting and applying the correct discount tier for which they qualify at the time of checkout. NeoNorm, LLC assumes zero responsibility or liability for refunding fee differentials in instances where a participant mistakenly executes a standard single pass instead of an applicable group rate, or a standard rate instead of a qualified academic/government rate. Registrants who believe they have processed an incorrect ticket tier may contact the organizers to request a partial refund, which may be granted solely at the discretion of NeoNorm, LLC.
10. PRIVACY POLICY
Your personal data privacy is of paramount importance to our organization. We have formulated this Privacy Policy to transparently govern how we collect, process, utilize, communicate, and safeguard your personal information. We gather basic transactional data necessary to process conference passes and communicate logistically. NeoNorm, LLC explicitly covenants that it will never sell, share, rent, or lease Participant email addresses or professional identifiers to external third parties.
11. LEGAL BOILERPLATE AND JURISDICTION
11.1 Force Majeure: NeoNorm, LLC shall not be held liable or responsible, nor be deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Agreement, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of this Agreement when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts beyond the reasonable control of NeoNorm, LLC, including, without limitation: acts of God; flood, fire, earthquake, or explosion; war, invasion, hostilities, or terrorist threats; national or regional emergencies; strikes, labor stoppages, or slowdowns; severe shortage of adequate transportation or airport closures; or government mandates, lockdowns, and facility closures. In the event of a Force Majeure occurrence, NeoNorm, LLC reserves the right to postpone the event or transition the Conference tracks entirely to a virtual environment in lieu of a cash refund.
11.2 Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision of this Agreement, and this Agreement shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision had never been contained herein.
11.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising under or relating to this Agreement must be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the State of Connecticut, and all parties expressly consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
11.4 Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between NeoNorm, LLC and the Participant regarding the subject matter hereof, and completely supersedes all prior or contemporaneous verbal or written discussions, correspondence, emails, marketing representations, or negotiations exchanged between the parties.
